Lamborghini Aventador First Drive Review

·        The rolling hills of Italy are in trouble with Lamborghini’s latest V12 monster.

The Lamborghini Aventador is at heart a big, low, wide old school rear wheel drive behemoth. Sporting a mid engine 6.5 litre V12, producing 700+ bhp, the Aventador will kick you in the back of head while accelerating from 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds.

·
The styling of the Aventador is enough to scare small children, while turn almost every head as you drive past. Both the interior an exterior of the car are dripping in carbon fibre, which leaves the impression of a modern jet fighter. The biggest issue with the Aventador is its impracticality, even as a sports car. The scissor doors are cool and unique, although if you have a low clearing or ad in a shopping centre carpal this can be problematic. In terms of driving the car, you can feel it wanting to unleash. Instead of accelerating, you are taming the engine. As a pure sports car, you can't go past the Aventador, and full credit to Lamborghini for putting the super back in supercar.
